Faith Development at St. Peter’s

Praying hands on a Holy BibleThrough the year we offer a variety of programs, seminars and events to help develop personal faith and community experiences of God.

In the fall of 2017 we have a large number of opportunities to grow in faith.

Wednesday evenings September 27, Oct 4,11 and 18 will be a Christianity 101 course led by our Area Bishop, Jenny Andison.  The session is free, begins with refreshments at 6:30, and the formal program goes from 7-9 pm.  This is a chance to explore the basics of our Christian faith in a safe, fun atmosphere.

Bible Study – The second and fourth Tuesday  of each month, beginning Oct. 10th is a lay led look at scripture. This fall we will be looking at the Letter to the Hebrews.

Book Study – Grab a copy of Charles Belfoure’s book The Paris Architect and read it at your leisure.  Then join us on Thursday November 9th from 2-4 pm where we will have some coffee/tea and talk about the book through a Christian lens.

Confirmation Class – Bishop Andison will be with us on Sunday Nov. 17th at 11 am where we will have young people and adults reaffirm their baptismal vows and receive the laying on of hands. Preparation for this service is important.  If you or your teen (ages 12 and up) are interested in Confirmation please let Canon Reid know before September 24.
