There are a number of ways in which you can support our Christian ministry at St. Peter’s.
Giving your time and talent
You can share the gift of your time and your personal talent by participating in any of our many activities and committees.
You are welcome to telephone the church office at 905-828-2095 and leave a message for the appropriate Committee Chair.
Giving your financial support
Your gift may be made at the regular worship services through:
- Cash donation at the offertory
- Offertory envelopes
- By Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR)
- By a Square® debit or credit card donation
You are welcome to use the small envelopes provided in the pews for cash donations if you are not registered for offertory envelopes. Please remember to write your name on the envelope. To register for offertory envelopes , please contact the envelope secretary, Nikhil Josh, through the Church office at 905-828-2095 or by email at email@example.com
Giving through Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR)
What is the Pre-Authorized Remittance Program?
The Anglican Diocese of Toronto has established a Pre-Authorized Remittance Program (PAR) to make it simple and easy for you to support of the work of your parish church through your regular parish offerings. Each month the same amount is automatically debited from your bank account and credited to St. Peter’s Erindale. It’s similar to the way many of us already arrange to manage bills and other regular payments. You enjoy the convenience of not having to write a cheque each week. And St. Peter’s benefits by receiving your gift consistently throughout the year, even when you are away.
How does PAR work?
You decide on the amount you wish to have debited from your account each month. Your gift is processed automatically on or about the 20th of each month and the amount will be credited to St. Peter’s parish account. You will continue to receive receipts for your gifts from St. Peter’s on a regular basis.
How do I enroll?
For more information about PAR, contact Nikhil Josh, our Envelope Secretary, through the Church Office at (905) 828-2095, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Or print out this pdf of the enrolment form and return to the Church Office by mail, or in person. If you are an existing PAR donor and want to make changes to banking details or donation amount, print out this authorization change form. Please ensure it is addressed to the attention of the Envelope Secretary.
Who administers the Program?
The Stewardship Development Department of the United Church of Canada administers the PAR program for St. Peter’s Erindale.
What do I offer when the collection plate comes by?
You may choose to place a small PAR card in the offering plate as a token of your automatic gift. Cards are available from the church office or from a sidesperson on Sunday morning.
PAR may be a good choice for you. Please consider enrolling.
Online Donations by an eTransfer from Your Bank
If your bank provides an eTransfer service, you may donate by making an eTransfer to St. Peter’s. Specify our donations email address: email@example.com
When our treasurer receives the email with transfer authorization, he will complete the process to have your bank transfer your donation to our St. Peter’s Anglican Erindale account.

Making a One-Time Gift
If you wish to make a special one-time gift, or arrange a bequest or other type of gift to St. Peter’s, please contact the Incumbent by telephone at 905-828-2095, or speak to one of the Wardens.
If you wish to give in anonymity, we will respect your wishes and ensure that your gift remains private.
Gifts of Securities
You may own securities such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds that have appreciated in value since you bought them. If you donate these to St. Peter’s, you can beat the tax man by avoiding any capital gains tax that would be due if you sold them and donated the cash.
To do this, simply download and complete this Letter of Direction to the Diocese and fax it to your broker as well as to the contacts noted at RBC and the Diocese of Toronto. Your broker will transfer the securities to RBC who will immediately sell them and transmit the proceeds to the Diocese, who will forward them to us. You will receive a tax receipt for the sales value that we receive.
For further information, please contact the Incumbent by telephone at 905-828-2095, or speak to one of the Wardens.
