A Note from Canon Jennifer Reid

Hello everyone,

We are well into our time of shut down and isolation and we are making a difference in the lives of others. Well done to all of you who have given up economic stability, freedom to roam, hugs from grand-kids and haircuts so that lives are saved and medical staff are not overwhelmed.

This is unlike anything I have ever experienced and like you, there are days when I get inspired and have ideas for things to do and ways to virtually connect, and there are days when I sleep more than I thoughtpossible. I hope you are finding ways to keep your self well, physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you are finding yourself losing balance, or being swamped with loneliness, do reach out to a member of the clergy. We may not be in the church building but we are here for you.

We know that not everyone has the same ability or comfort around technology so we have worship available in a variety of ways. Maria will be doing a short live worship service every Monday morning at 9 am on our public Facebook page. It will be available to view afterwards as a video on Facebook if you miss the live version. She is also creating a weekly video prayer service called Prayers in Exile which you can view on her YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp4mR6aBF-G-bU2GpKg98og If you would like a text copy of Prayers in Exile, please email her at associate@stpeterserindale.org and she will be happy to email it to you.

On Sundays we will continue to offer worship through Zoom, and remember, you may simply call in with your phone and listen/talk to us. We do ask that you tell us who you are so we can protect the sacredness of our time together.

On Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm we have a story time for children and then at 8:00 pm we have Compline on Zoom (again, you may phone in).

Our prayer team continues to pray daily for those you ask them to. Email nantoseven@hotmail.com with your prayer request or leave a message on the church phone at extension 66.

You may call me directly at my home at 905-855-1831.

And if you just want to connect with people and have a chat, our Deacon Clem Carelse is offering a Happy Half Hour on Friday nights at 5:30 pm.

We are still feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, burying the dead, celebrating births and loving one another as Christ would have us do.

Know that Maria and I pray for you daily and are grateful for your faithfulness, courage and love.
