There are several opportunities for older adults at St. Peter’s, and for St. Peter’s to support the seniors in our broader community.

Services at Long-Term Care & Retirement Homes

Throughout the year, including during pivotal times in the church calendar including Lent and Advent, clergy will host church services at LTC and retirement homes.

Senior’s Tea

Seniors from local LTC and retirement homes, as well as members of the church, are invited at Easter and Christmas to the church for a seasonal tea event. This joyful, social time includes tea (of course!) and sweet treats, and also includes music, prayers and scripture.

Prayer Care Packages

Seniors in the community can receive packages for major events during the church year. These packages include prayer booklets, and small seasonal items to help mark these events.

Youth & Senior Events

Our SPY (St. Peter’s Youth) Group hosts events during the year that bring our parish’s teens and seniors together. Events like “Cooking with the Bible” bring everyone together to share in fellowship and often learn a new skill or share something they know with others.

For more information on any of our Seniors’ programs, please reach out to our Associate & Chaplain to Seniors, Rev. Maria Nightingale
